Steel  silo are composed of multiple key components that work together to ensure their functionality and efficiency as storage facilities. The main components of steel plate silos include:

Roof Structure

The roof of a steel silo often adopts a dome-shaped or flat-top design, integrally connected to the body of the silo through welding or flange joints. It incorporates features such as ventilation openings, inspection ports, lightning rods, ensuring air circulation within the silo, easy maintenance, and necessary safety measures.

Body Wall

The silo body consists of a series of wall panels, columns, manholes, ladders, etc. High-quality galvanized steel plates are used to construct the walls via welding or rolling processes, forming a cylindrical structure. The connections between wall panels are secured with high-strength bolts and sealed using aviation tape to guarantee structural integrity, tightness, and protection against rainwater ingress.

Spiral Rib Reinforcement

Some steel silos have spiral ribs internally engineered onto their walls to enhance overall load-bearing capacity and stability.

Bottom Structure
