Workflow of Intelligent Assembled Steel Silo
Grain Reception and Cleaning
After harvesting, grain is transported by truck, weighed automatically, sampled, and inspected before being discharged into the feed inlet. Dust generated during unloading is absorbed by a pulse dust collector. The grain then passes through a feeding pit and a ground scraper conveyor to an elevator, where it is cleaned and impurities are removed by a cleaning sieve, winnowing machine, and iron remover. This process ensures the grain meets cleanliness standards.
Temporary Storage and Drying
Clean grain is temporarily stored in a holding Steel Silo, which can be designed to hold between 200 and 500 tons. Wet grain in the holding silo needs to be ventilated and cooled before being dried in a drying tower. Once dried, the grain is transferred by an elevator into a dry grain silo, where a ventilation system and temperature control system ensure its safe storage.
Structural Features
Assembled Steel Silo come in two reinforcement types: internal and external columns. The silo walls are made of high-quality galvanized corrugated sheets from Handan Steel, known for their aesthetic appeal and durability. Galvanized bolts are used for assembly, and aviation sealant ensures good sealing.
Material Handling and Discharge
Materials inside the Assembled Steel Silo can be directed to a processing plant, loaded onto trucks, or packed in bags through the silo’s discharge system. Discharge options include flat-bottom sweep auger discharge, full cone discharge, partial cone discharge, and five-hole partial cone discharge.
Grain Condition Monitoring
Real-time monitoring and temperature display systems, along with intelligent ventilation, achieve cooling and dehumidification through natural air and material heat exchange, ensuring grain quality and safety.
Special Grain Handling
For special grains, cooling can be achieved by using a grain cooler, which generates air 5°C below ambient temperature to cool the silo contents. High airtightness silos for special grains use fumigation and airflow circulation to evenly distribute phosphine gas throughout the grain pile, effectively eliminating pests.
