Ugandan clients visited Henan Kebang to discuss on-site scientific grain storage solutions in tropical climates

Having been engaged in foreign trade for so many years, we have always believed that no matter how good the product brochure is, it cannot compare to a visit to the factory in person to “touch and take a look”.

In July 2025, Henan Kebang Machinery welcomed a group of old friends – an agricultural investment delegation from Uganda. Compared with many guests who merely come to “inquire about prices”, the demands of this group of customers are very clear: they need to solve the problems of mold and loss of corn and coffee beans during long-term storage in the high-temperature and high-humidity environment of Uganda.

A client from Uganda visited Henan Kebang silo

“Detail-oriented” on the production line

In the modern production workshop of Kebang, the customer focused on inspecting the galvanized coating process of corrugated steel plates. For customers in Uganda, corrosion resistance is not an option but a must.

During the visit, our technical director, Lao Zhang, discussed a detail with the client: for the tropical savanna climate in Africa, simple ventilation is not enough. We showcased Kebang’s patented fully automatic temperature measurement and ventilation system on site.

When a Ugandan customer saw our laser cutting process and the design of the reinforcing ribs, he deliberately stopped to take a photo. He mentioned that small grain silo in Uganda often deform when fully loaded due to insufficient structural strength. The high-strength bolt connection method and thickened support structure adopted by Kebang have obviously given them a lot of confidence.

Not only selling equipment, but also selling “solutions”

During the in-depth exchange in the meeting room, the topic quickly shifted from “product parameters” to “practical operation scenarios”.

Uganda is a major grain producer of coffee and corn, but the loss in the post-processing stage has always been a headache. We did not immediately promote the largest silo. Instead, based on the customer’s current daily processing capacity, we suggested that they adopt an integrated solution of “drying + storage”.

Regarding moisture control: In light of the characteristics of local coffee beans, we discussed how to precisely control the humidity inside the silo through sensors.

Regarding installation and maintenance: The customer is very concerned about the later assembly. We presented the assembly cases of Kebang in multiple African countries and promised to dispatch experienced engineers for on-site technical guidance or provide nanny-level remote video installation support.

This kind of “pitfall avoidance guide” based on practical experience is more persuasive than any exquisite PPT.

Trust spanning thousands of miles

This visit reached its climax at the moment when both sides signed the strategic cooperation intention letter. But for Kebang, the signing of the contract is just the beginning of the service.

Under the background of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, “Made in China” is no longer synonymous with “low price”. Enterprises like Kebang Machinery, which are rooted in Central China and oriented towards the global market, are effectively helping African friends solve the problem of “putting every grain into the warehouse” through practical products such as grain silo.

The visit of this Ugandan guest not only brought us orders but also gave us a more down-to-earth understanding of the demands of the African market. In the future, Kebang will continue to optimize its storage technology for tropical climates, ensuring that every grain of food can safely survive the rainy season in our silos.
