Project Overview

This project was completed in Laos for grain storage and drying. The system combines 2 × 500-ton galvanized steel grain silos with a 15-ton/batch grain dryer, providing the customer with a practical solution for post-harvest grain handling.

The two 500-ton silos are used for bulk grain storage after drying, while the 15-ton/batch dryer is used to reduce grain moisture before storage. This configuration is suitable for farms, grain collection centers and small-to-medium grain processing operations that need both grain drying and storage capacity.

Main Equipment

500-Ton Grain Silos
Two galvanized steel silos provide a combined storage capacity of 1,000 tons. The silos are designed for bulk grain storage and can be equipped with aeration, temperature monitoring and unloading systems according to the project requirements.

15-Ton/Batch Grain Dryer
The 15-ton/batch dryer is used to remove excess moisture from freshly harvested grain before it enters long-term storage. Batch drying allows the customer to process grain according to the actual harvest volume and operating schedule.

Project Solution

The basic process is:

Fresh Grain → 15-Ton/Batch Dryer → Cooled/Dried Grain → 500-Ton Silo × 2 → Long-Term Storage

This combination gives the customer both drying capacity and 1,000-ton total storage capacity in one project. It is particularly practical where harvested grain needs to be dried promptly before being stored in steel silos.

COBAN Service

COBAN supplied the main drying and storage equipment and supported the project with equipment layout, technical drawings, installation guidance and commissioning support. The project was configured according to the customer’s actual storage and drying requirements rather than using a standard single-machine solution.
